The Alpha Male Darkseeker is the main antagonist of I Am Legend. He is the husband of the Alpha Female Darkseeker, and was captured by Robert Neville for his experiments.
Biography[]
Nothing is known about the alpha male's life before the outbreak of the Krippin Virus.
When Krippin Virus broke out, the man was infected and turned into a Darkseeker.
In 2012, three years after the Krippin Virus outbreak, he was lured out of the colony by a blood sample and the screams of his partner being captured into a snare trap by Neville. Clearly infuriated the Alpha Male let out a huge screech aimed at Neville.
Neville then took the female (Darkseeker) back to his lab, where he tested Compound 6 on her as a possible cure for the Krippin Virus. She eventually awoke and tried to attack Robert but was held back by chain shackles on her arms, however, the serum instead almost killed her until she was revived by Neville.
The alpha male and his daughter reunited.
When the Darkseekers chased Neville, Anna and Ethan into the basement, Neville realized that the captured female was the partner of the Alpha Male Darkseeker, and he wanted his partner back. Neville then removed the serum from the female's blood and wheeled her into the room with the Alpha Male and other Darkseekers. The Darkseekers quickly surrounded a vulnerable Neville and were going to attack him, but the Alpha Male shouted an order and they quickly backed down, giving Neville an opportunity to inject a serum into the partner - which immediately caused her to awake. The alpha male allowed Neville to live, and then left shortly after with the other Darkseekers.
